Shipping batteries

Lithium batteries need special care during transport. UN3480 and UN3481 describe how they are shipped.

Without a compatible tattoo machine: UN3480

A powerpack shipped without a compatible tattoo machine needs a specialist battery-shipping service. Extra handling, paperwork and transport restrictions make this more expensive. A TPS or charger bay does not replace the compatible tattoo machine.

With a compatible tattoo machine: UN3481

A powerpack installed in, or packed alongside, the tattoo machine it powers can be shipped as UN3481. This allows simpler shipping, but battery packing and safety rules still apply. The powerpack and machine must be in the same parcel.

Ordering from us

We do not add a battery-shipping surcharge for UN3481 orders. Standard shipping rates still apply. Including a compatible tattoo machine in the same order removes the UN3480 extra charge for up to three powerpacks per machine. Available shipping options and the total charge are shown before payment.

Sending a powerpack for service or return

Send it with its compatible tattoo machine in the same parcel. For powerpack service, the machine can accompany it not for repair, without a separate service booking. Your carrier sets the price for shipping to us.

Use the shipping-documents link in your confirmation to prepare the paperwork. Contact your carrier before sending a powerpack without a compatible tattoo machine.

Do not ship if the powerpack is swollen, leaking or has physically damaged battery cells.
